Flight Helpful Tips
- Flight Reconfirmation
We recommend that you reconfirm your reservation(s) at least 72 hours prior to your flight departure. Failure to reconfirm may result in the cancellation of your reservation(s). Upon reconfirmation, you may request for special meals, preferred seats and/or wheelchair availability. To ensure mileage credit, present your mileage number at the check-in counter upon check-in. (For non-members, enroll by phone or at the counter.)
- Check-in Baggage Allowance
Per passenger (adult or child), two (2) pieces of baggage are allowed (depending on the carrier's baggage allowance requirements). Each piece of free checked-in baggage should not exceed the maximum outside linear dimensions: length plus width plus height of 62 inches (158 cm), and should not weigh more than 70 pounds (32 kg). Strict adherence to these regulations is advised to avoid penalties. Only one hand-carry baggage is allowed, whose size should not exceed 45 inches in diameter to allow storage in the enclosed overhead bin or under the airline seat. All excess baggage can be transported only only if there is available space. It is the responsibility of the passenger to claim any excess baggage transported on a standby basis.
- Required Flight Documents
- Valid passport (at least six months for inbound travel)
- Valid visa for US citizens staying more than 21 days. Exempted from this provision are Filipinos who are naturalized US citizens (normally up to a 59-day stay). Other foreign passport may need a Philippine visa.
- Waiver of Exclusion
Children under 15 years of age holding a foreign passport and are not traveling with their parents must secure a waiver of exclusion ground from the Philippine government. This is a mandatory requirement for children under 15 years of age travelling to the Philippines.
